Crinkle Paper Search and Find
Let's Begin
Gather Materials
Crinkle shredded paper (or cut or shredded scrap paper, or Easter basket grass)
Large buttons, animals, pom poms (any other small objects you may have around the house)
Large bin or box
Spoons, tongs (optional)
Steps
1) Start by dumping the crinkle paper into the empty bin or box.
2) Next, mix up the small items, button shapes, pom poms, and animals into the crinkle cut paper.
3) Now let your child feel all around in the crinkle cut paper to find the hidden items. They can just use their hands, or you can give them a couple of spoons or tongs to use to sift through the paper to find the items.

- Looks at the right picture or thing when it’s named
18-months-old
- Explores alone but with parent close by
- Can follow 1-step verbal commands without any gestures
- Drinks from a cup
2-years-old
- Shows more and more independence
- Knows names of familiar people and body parts
- Might use one hand more than the other
